The following documents contain information that was extracted from the FOIA Ogle County Sheriffs and IDNR Accident and Crash Re-Enactment redacted reports. These are the reports given by the DNR officers at the scene of the accident when Mark Mongon's boat crashed into the pontoon, killing Megan. It states clearly that he admitted to being intoxicated, and numerous beer cans were present on his boat. Even with this information, Mongon will NOT face any felony charges for his actions.
